Project New Life

Together We Can Create New Life From

the Rubble of Hurricane Dorian

Hurricane Dorian pummeled the Bahamas with 185 mph winds and a 20-foot storm surge.  With countless dead, many still missing, and thousands of buildings and homes destroyed, Dorian stands as the worst disaster in Bahamian history.

Eco Blue Projects will recycle addition materials such as metal, boats, and debris found in the ocean to help decrease the environmental impact of Hurricane Dorian.

By partnering with artists and architects, Eco Blue Projects and the Reef Life Foundation will install a massive underwater coral reef system developed out of the destruction of the Hurricane.  "The beauty of the project is found in the underwater architecture of the new coral reef systems and bio-diverse new oceanic life growing out of the rubble of Hurricane Dorian. " Josh Hanes, Eco Blue Projects

The goal of the project will be to:

  • Restore critically needed coral reefs to the ocean

  • Provide a sustainable method for hurricane debris recycling that also benefits the environment

  • Create a beautiful monument to the strength of the people of the Bahamas and the hundreds of thousands of people and organizations that have volunteered their time and resources

  • Provide a coral reef system that will bring critically needed tourism and jobs for local communities, bringing new oceanic life, and vital shoreline protection

We look forward to updating everyone in the near future on the progress of our Bahamas recovery project. https://www.facebook.com/ecoblueprojects/
